4th of July!! Well, I must admit that Emily and I know how to celebrate!! We woke up in the morning and made some red, white and blue french toast to start the day's festivities. But don't think that's all, we had the whole works, the sausage, bacon, eggs and orange juice. Yummm... We did invite Jordan to come along with us because, come on, it is a celebration that should be shared with family and friends. Well, we then decided to head down to Center Street where the Freedom Days Festival is for 3 days. I love being around all the bustling people who are enjoying the holiday just like us. We got ourselves some Texas Twister lemonade drinks, and boy was it good! Jordan decided that he had to get a sword, of course, and Emily wanted a Henna tattoo. We had some Italian Ice as well and just had a blast looking at everything. Oh, and Emily got an Native American Pipe Flute CD. I love it!! Especially since it has The Last of the Mohicans theme song on it. One of my favorites!! But with everyone getting something, I decided (and they both agreed) that I should get something as well. And so I was looking around and I saw this rock necklace. I was like, oh my goodness, I love this, and it is my color!! So, I bought it. Enough said. Well, we can home and got to working on our Independence dinner. We had ribs, corn on the cob, baked beans, deviled eggs, chips and queso, and cookies. We are going to continue that today with some potato salad and Rocky Road brownies....my mouth is already watering. We then plopped ourselves down to watch Independence Day, the movie, I mean, come on, how could we not? And right at the end the fireworks started shooting off. It is pretty cool because from our apartment you can see the Provo City ones, and Stadium of Fire, so two fireworks shows for free. Got to love it. So yes, that was my 4th of July. I enjoyed it immensely!!! I hope that everyone else's went as well. I must admit, I am happy to live in America with all of our freedoms. Thank you to all the men who fought for it, and those who fight now. God Bless America!!!
